Passing the GCE ´O´ Level Examinations is a requirement for entry to most Singapore-based diploma and junior college courses and to foundational and professional courses at many overseas colleges and universities. City College's Secondary School Programme and student support infrastructure will empower you to perform in the GCE ´O´ Level examinations and subsequently to pursue a GCE ´A´ Level certificate and tertiary education.

Our programme includes a comprehensive student support infrastructure covering student affairs, web-based academic support, study groups, course materials and schedules, and assignments and examinations. Our courses are taught face-to-face, and have an average teacher-student ratio of 1:25.

Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination (Intensive)
Course Code: PCO(I) 
Duration: 40 weeks 

We offer the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science (Chem/Bio), Science (Phy/Chem), Economics, Business Studies, Chinese as Second Langusge, Chinese Foundation, Additional Mathematics, Geography, Art, Principles of Accounts, Technology, Physical Education.

Note: The subjects are dependent on the course selected. Do check the availability during your pre-course counselling session.

Students will be assessed via written examinations, projects, and practical assessments. Successful graduation is determined by the students meeting the minimum attendance criteria and by obtaining a minimum passing grade overall for each subject.

City College now accepts around 300 students every year and approximately 60% of our graduates progress to tertiary institutions. In addition, we are an appointed Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) Private Examination Centre (since Jan 2007) for GCE 'O' Level written, listening comprehension and oral examinations.
