City College has launched an English Language Programme to facilitate the development of a strong foundation in the English language, and empowering students to be confident and articulate in English. Our programme has been designed with a focus on nurturing each student holistically, building knowledge of both academic and general knowledge of English.

There are two courses in the programme:

Certificate in Standard English 1 (Foundation)
Course Code: CSE1

Certificate in Standard English 2 (Intermediate)
Course Code: CSE2

Each course covers four key areas: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Students will have to sit for an internal examination, and will be awarded a certificate upon graduation.

Graduates who have successfully completed the English Language Programme will be sufficiently prepared for entry into our Secondary School Programmes.
